Key Responsibilities
- Define the system architecture for high-speed optical DSP chips (800G/1.6T and beyond).
- Develop and refine DSP algorithms for equalization, error correction, CDR, and signal optimization.
- Partner with hardware, firmware, and chip design teams to optimize for performance, power, and area.
- Perform system-level modeling and simulations to validate algorithms and architectures.
- Collaborate with photonics and RF teams for seamless DSP–optical front-end integration.
- Establish performance metrics, validation methodologies, and compliance with optical standards
- Engage with customers and industry partners to align DSP innovations with market needs.
- Stay at the forefront of advancements in DSP, optics, semiconductors, and cloud infrastructure.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in DSP algorithm development, system architecture, and ASIC design for optical communications.
- Expertise in digital signal processing, communication theory, and error correction codes.
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Python, or C/C for DSP simulations and algorithm development.
- Strong knowledge of ASIC design and system-on-chip integration.
- Familiarity with OIF standards, high-speed SerDes, ADC/DAC interfaces, mixed-signal design.
- Deep understanding of optical modulation techniques and coherent transmission systems.
- Must be able to work onsite in Austin, TX (no remote option).
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with photonic ICs and DSP co-design.
- Background in real-time embedded DSP implementations.
- Proven record of delivering DSP architectures in commercial optical communication products.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
