Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and develop all Maintenance Technicians on the assigned shift.
- Assign and schedule preventive maintenance (PMs), corrective actions, and project work based on production priorities.
- Conduct daily shift start-up meetings (Toolbox Talks) to communicate assignments, safety topics, and updates.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Support and enforce CMMS documentation — ensure all maintenance work is logged accurately by end of shift.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and instruct technicians on their use.
- Oversee corrective maintenance activities, guiding techs to diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely.
- Conduct walk-throughs of production areas to monitor workflow, assess priorities, and provide real-time support.
- Hands-on industrial maintenance experience in one or more of the following:
- Plastic Injection Molding
- Plastic Sheet Extrusion
- Inline Thermoforming
- EPP/EPS Shape Molding
- Expertise with Electrical/PLC troubleshooting, Robotics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in machining, welding, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent combination of technical education and 8 years of maintenance experience.
- 3–5 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a plastics or high-speed manufacturing setting.
- Experience troubleshooting or maintaining:
- Haitian or JSW injection molding machines
- Star Robots or similar automation systems
- Lyle thermoforming machines
- Davis-Standard extrusion lines
- Akkaya EPP/EPS molding equipment
- Una-Dyn or Novatec material handling systems
- Proficiency with advanced computer tools (MS Excel, Outlook, CMMS reporting, data analysis).
- Experience in budget management, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Strong leadership, planning, and team-building abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Continuous Improvement practices.
- Certified in forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift operation.
- Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | Monday – Friday
- Shift Differential: $1.00/hour
