Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and strategy for analytics and embedded data features.
- Engage with users and stakeholders to uncover data needs and translate them into impactful dashboards, reports, and intelligent data tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX, data science, and product teams to scope and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML and advanced analytics to enhance product capabilities through predictive or personalized insights.
- Drive adoption and effective use of analytics tools such as Power BI across the organization.
- Oversee data quality, governance, and compliance to ensure accuracy, privacy, and ethical use of information (e.g., FERPA, COPPA).
- Implement standards and processes for data integrity, reliability, and responsible use.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data initiatives to evaluate impact, learning outcomes, and business performance.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and user testing to validate and refine product direction.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including occasional travel for strategic meetings and engagements.
- Perform additional duties as required to support organizational objectives.
We’re looking for candidates with the following background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Business, Education, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management within data or analytics-focused environments.
- Proven success managing both internal and customer-facing data products.
- Strong experience with Power BI or other enterprise analytics tools.
- Background or solid understanding of data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure, or AWS, and basic proficiency in SQL (preferred).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams within a remote environment.
- Ability to balance technical insight with user empathy and business objectives.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for meetings, user engagement, and team collaboration.
