Summary
As a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) at the Moffitt Cancer Center, this role will exercise a high degree of autonomy to effectively manage essential functions within the Patient Access Department, handling all scheduling tasks with expertise. The PAL will act as the main point of escalation and troubleshooting for the Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator and serve as a key liaison between the scheduling team and clinical departments. Responsibilities include managing incoming calls, overseeing Zoom chat communications for schedulers, optimizing the waitlist, and addressing urgent clinical escalations. The PAL will also conduct monthly meetings to review errors and identify improvements, collaborate with Quality Assurance for process enhancements, and handle direct referral requests. Additionally, this role will provide on-the-job training and support for schedulers, especially regarding changes to Zingtree.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of experience in patient registration and/or patient scheduling, plus
- 1 year of related customer service. -or-
- 1.5 years of experience (18 months) of relevant patient access and/or scheduling experience at Moffitt Cancer Center, plus
- 1 year of related customer service.
