What are the responsibilities and job description for the IHM NOCTURNIST position at Moffitt Cancer Center?
Summary
Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Internal and Hospital Medicine invites applications for a Nocturnist faculty position. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
The Nocturnist will work within a collegial team to care for oncologic patients in an inpatient academic setting. Commonly encountered clinical conditions include infections associated with varying levels of immunosuppression, treatment-related toxicities, oncologic emergencies and complications, and the spectrum of internal medicine conditions that are seen in the oncologic patient. For interested candidates, we encourage and support participation in teaching and research and leadership development. are available for interested candidates. Candidates with a potential future interest in an Oncology fellowship are also encouraged to apply. We prioritize faculty development and provide mentorship and support to faculty to achieve their professional goals.
The Nocturnist practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. The Nocturnist provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education.
Requirements
Successful applicants must be board certified (or eligible) in Internal Medicine. Possess active FL MD Licensure or have eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida.
