- Conduct innovative and translational cancer research in a highly productive and collaborative team setting.
- Fellows will have access to large and diverse existing datasets that include structured and unstructured data; You will be encouraged to develop your own independent research projects.
- Outstanding mentorship from expert faculty with wide-ranging funded research.
- Moffitt integrates excellent patient care with cutting-edge population, clinical, and basic science research. Having a cancer hospital on-site provides unique opportunities for translational research.
- You will be encouraged and supported to publish your research and apply for grants.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently and with collaborators.
- Strong quantitative skills in the areas of machine learning and deep learning
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Matlab, C/C , Python, R, etc.,) for modeling and data analysis.
- Knowledge in population sciences/cancer epidemiology is desired, but not required.
- Design and conduct studies to train, validate, and test clinically relevant models using Artificial intelligence (AI), biostatistical, and bioinformatic methods.
- Develop scientific writing and presentation skills; write research abstracts, reports, and scientific publications.
- Present research results to the Moffitt scientific community and at national or international scientific meetings.
- PhD or MD in computer sciences, bioengineering, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a related computational discipline is required.
- Excellent programming skills and written communication skills.
