Summary
The Operations Specialist 2 of the Clinical Trials Laboratory Core Facility is responsible for the essential clinical trial supply and inventory control functions. The position is responsible for maintaining the daily warehouse environment, including but not limited to, ordering supply, stocking shelves, issuing supply to the lab. The specialist 2 will normally receive weekly instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments in regards to warehouse support of protocol supply. The specialist will utilize established procedures and supported protocols within the core while under supervision. This position requires good competence, skill and independent judgment. It is expected that this position contribute ideas towards continuous quality improvement and help develop and/or refine existing tools for staff. This position will interact with disease program study activation coordinators, shared resources staff, study sponsors, laboratory vendors, and contracting research organizations.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- HS diploma with 4 years of experience in supply chain related field and/or laboratory vendor logistics related field. OR Associate's Degree with 2 year of experience in supply chain and/or laboratory vendor logistics related field.
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures that govern clinical research within the shared resources and clinical research operations
- Preferred:
- Four (4) years of experience in an inventory control related supply chain environment that utilizes software tools for maintaining stock.
