Tabor Hill Lounge Bartender

About the Role
The Tabor Hill Vineyard Lounge Bartender plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience. This position combines hospitality, wine education, and retail sales. The ideal candidate is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about wine, with a strong desire to connect with guests and guide them through memorable tasting experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide warm, professional service
• Lead wine tastings and explain flavor profiles, regions, and production methods
• Pour wine tastings and by-the-glass service following responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, and tasting areas
• Assist customers with wine purchases, gifts, and special orders
• Operate POS system and accurately process transactions
• Restock wine inventory, retail shelves, and bar supplies
• Promote wine club memberships, special events, and current promotions
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events and private tastings
Wine Knowledge & Education
• Maintain knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and tasting techniques
• Participate in training and ongoing wine education opportunities
• Communicate wine stories in an engaging and approachable manner
Qualifications
Required:
• Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, retail, or tasting rooms
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs

Preferred:
• Point-of-sale (POS) experience
• Passion for wine and guest education
