Auto Body Collision Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our dynamic team. We are one of the few remaining independently owned body shops in the Bay Area and that is what sets us apart. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and customer service, with the ability to assess vehicle damage accurately and provide detailed estimates for repairs. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the efficiency of our body shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions regarding their vehicle.
• Utilize knowledge of automotive repair, including mechanical knowledge, to provide comprehensive estimates that cover all necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with technicians and support staff to ensure all aspects of the repair are accounted for in the estimate.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in auto body estimating required, collision preferred. Please do not apply if you do not have minimum one year of estimating experience. References will be validated.
• Strong background in body shop management or as a service technician is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in auto collision estimating, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Experience with various makes, models, specialty vehicles, etc. For example: transit vans, service trucks, full size truck and trailer, campers, RV's, buses, garbage trucks.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
