Summary

In this role, a quality inspector will ensure that components, assemblies, and finished products meet the rigorous standards required for flight‑critical systems. Your work directly supports safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across all production stages.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on raw materials, in‑process components, and finished aerospace products using precision measurement tools and established procedures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
• Use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, borescopes, and other specialized aerospace inspection tools.
• Document nonconformances and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records within quality management systems (QMS) and ensure traceability.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurring defects.
• Verify supplier‑provided materials meet required certifications and standards.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific quality requirements.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience in aerospace, precision manufacturing, or a similar regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with AS9100/AS9102 standards.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
  
  

Preferred

• Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.
• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology tools.
• Knowledge of composite materials, machining processes, or aerospace assembly.
• Experience with ERP/QMS software

High School Diploma or equivalent
