Job Summary
Moe Joe's Breakfast Eatery is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. This position will assist with food preparation, ingredient organization, cleaning, and general kitchen duties while helping the team maintain efficient service and consistent food quality.
Responsibilities
Assist cooks with daily food preparation and kitchen tasks.
Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to instructions.
Help assemble and prepare breakfast and brunch menu items.
Keep food preparation stations clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
Store ingredients properly and follow food-safety procedures.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking kitchen supplies.
Maintain clean floors, counters, sinks, and other kitchen areas.
Remove trash and maintain proper sanitation throughout the kitchen.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and workplace safety standards.
Support cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-service, or food-preparation experience preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
Ability to follow instructions and established preparation procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
Availability for morning, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
