Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling complementary items, and providing product demos when appropriate
- Ensure all tobacco sales comply with age restrictions and legal regulations, verifying customer identification as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area with well-stocked shelves and attractive merchandising displays
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a friendly attitude
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with product merchandising efforts
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty retail environments
