Minimum Qualifications • High School diploma or general education degree (GED). • An AA degree or 48 college credits (transcripts required) or pass the CODESP test. • Experience working with children and organizing activities. • TB clearance. • Hold a valid automobile operator’s license. • Proof of current automobile insurance is required if using personal vehicle for job duties or any MCOE business. • Fingerprinting required. Fingerprints must clear DOJ & FBI Live Scan. Synopsis of Position Provide structural, education-based enrichment activities for students. The employee adheres to and takes directives from the site coordinator. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Essential Performance Responsibilities • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with co-workers, clients and the public. • Supervise student aides and volunteers. • Maintain attendance records for student participants. • Develop recreation programs for age appropriate groups. • Provide enrichment activities for students in grades K-5 and/or 6-8 that support regular day academics. • Support and provide a socially acceptable and physically safe environment for children. • Attend regular staff meetings. • Assist in developing and participating in fundraisers and field trips. • Manage a budget successfully. • Ability to manage a group of students (i.e., demonstrate and maintain classroom control). • Assist in developing a monthly calendar and newsletter. • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to program and student needs. • Have a general understanding of academic curricula and California standards. • Maintain working relationships with administration, teachers, parents
