Akkodis is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. You will lead knowledge development and provide technical expertise in advanced problem-solving techniques across STA projects.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Supplier Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

Supplier Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead knowledge development and training in advanced problem-solving techniques across the STA organization.
- Provide coaching and technical support to team members on projects and training exercises, ensuring effective use of problem-solving tools.
- Drive root cause analysis and systemic improvements using methodologies such as 3x5 Why, Six Sigma, and Strategic Problem Solving.
- Perform engineering analysis (stress calculations, flow rates, electrical diagrams, reliability engineering) to troubleshoot and resolve complex component and system failures.
- Utilize warranty systems and data analytics to identify critical issues and prioritize problem-solving efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support disputes, provide objective analysis, and deliver solutions for manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of plant manufacturing experience with demonstrated problem-solving leadership.
- Proven Six Sigma/Black Belt-level expertise with hands-on use of statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) and problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to coach teams, present to senior leadership under tight timelines, and conduct engineering analyses (stress/flow/electrical/reliability).
