Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Denton, TX. The client is looking for a senior electrical design engineer with extensive aircraft interiors experience, capable of leading complex design projects, supporting certification activities, and collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams..
Rate Range: $60/hour to $72/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
Develop and review complex electrical system designs and documentation.
Support system integration, testing, certification, and installation activities.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and engineering teams throughout projects.
Mentor engineers and ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
8 years of electrical design experience in the aviation industry.
Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and certification processes.
Proficiency with CAD tools and technical documentation platforms.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Experience with VIP or commercial aircraft interior modifications.
Familiarity with Boeing platforms and OEM engineering data.
Background leading engineering teams or major technical projects.
Ability to travel and work across multiple stakeholders and project phases.
