What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Production - 1st Shift position at Modineer Company?
Job Responsibilities:
This position is for an entry level General Laborer in the Automotive Industry working with and/or around Aluminum and Stainless-steel material.
Daily tasks will include, but not limited to,
- Operating a Chop Saw
- Sanding parts (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, etc.)
- Assisting on the Ladder Assembly line
- Operating a Drill Press
- Utilizing good housekeeping practices by ensuring work areas are clean, safe, organized, and well maintained
- Reporting any issues with equipment, or unsafe conditions
- Participate in quality improvement efforts
- Assists in maintaining safety standards in all areas of responsibility
- Moving material and/or Product around, or from one department to another
- Requirements:
- Familiarity with line set practices and handling methods.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to a high standard of excellence
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to safety
- Excellent time management skills which will enable the completion of daily tasks assigned
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly for the entire production shift. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend repeatedly during the entire production shift. Additional physical demands include reaching and occasionally being able to lift 50 pounds.
- Education:
- GED or High school Diploma preferred
