What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Controller position at Modigent?
This role is for an energetic controller who can manage all accounting operations for the region including month-end close, reporting, and reconciliations, audit and income tax related support schedules, receivables, sales and use tax, business insurance renewal, policies and controls, and other activities. This role will work closely with operations, sales, HR, and the rest of the Finance organization including shared services.
Responsibilities Include
Lead monthly general ledger close process including reconciliations and reporting
Handle year-end auditing processes
Ensure accounting activities follow US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
Support analytical, planning, and cost control efforts across the business
Proactively work with operations, sales, and the rest of the finance and shared services teams to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting activities for the business
Actively assist operations with project management activities including the opening and closing of projects, forecast accuracy, under and over billings, warranty activity, change orders, revenue recognition practices, etc.
Assist with maintenance of Adaptive Insights including monthly uploads and account mapping
Perform other projects and activities as requested

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
5-7 years of senior accounting, assistant controller, or controller experience in construction industry
Experience with Sage Intacct or other construction industry accounting software / ERP

Salary : $130,000 - $155,000
