Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Modesto City Schools also offers an Induction Program with a state approved curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Requirements / Qualifications

Sufficient physical ability, strength, mobility and stamina to lift 35 pounds and to push or pull up to 75 pounds on a rolling rack or cart. CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on-call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment after retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able to have retirees as active substitutes. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications (i.e., experience, education, etc.) as listed on the job description in order to be considered for an interview.
