Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of Food Services or site designee, substitutes may perform a variety of duties related to school food service operations. Assignments may include assisting with food preparation, serving meals, monitoring students during breakfast and lunch, washing dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, and supporting the overall efficiency of cafeteria operations. Substitutes may also be asked to assist or fill in for the Head Cook or Cook as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Please provide the following required documents with your application: *Resume *Recent Letters of Recommendation (2-3 highly preferred) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *Graduation from high school or equivalent -Cafeteria Monitor Under the general direction of the Principal or Food Services Director, position is responsible for monitoring and assisting students during breakfast and lunch. -Dishwasher/Server Under the general direction of the Head Cook. Performs a variety of duties to maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the school kitchen and cafeteria. -School Cook Under the general supervision of the Head Cook, performs a variety of food preparation duties according to planned menus, recipes, and the number of persons to be served; assists or cooks meals in large quantities for elementary school sites; serves food; and maintains kitchen in a sanitary manner. -School Head Cook Under general supervision of the Director of Food Services, plans, organizes, coordinates, leads and participates in the food service operation of a school site or program; establishes and maintains teamwork; and prepares operational records and reports.
