Job Title: Server Assistant
Department: Front of House (FOH)
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / General Manager
Location: Moderna Bar & Pizzeria
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Position Overview:
The Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team by ensuring tables are properly set, cleared, and reset quickly, assisting servers with food delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This role is essential to creating an exceptional guest experience through teamwork, speed, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently between seatings.
• Refill water glasses, bread, and other table accompaniments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room, service stations, and server areas.
• Communicate with servers and hosts to coordinate seating and table turnover.
• Restock supplies such as glassware, silverware, napkins, and condiments.
• Support the expo line or food runner as directed during peak periods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner when interacting directly.
• Assist in maintaining a polished and welcoming environment consistent with Moderna’s brand standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must be TABC Certified.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Must be able to multi task.

Appearance & Conduct:

• Uniform must be clean, pressed, and properly fitted.
• Hair must be neat and pulled back if long.
• No visible rips or stains in clothing; non-slip shoes required.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly and efficiently
