What are the responsibilities and job description for the Modeling and Simulation Analyst - Mid-Level position at Modern Technology Solutions Inc?
Ability to identify software requirements and capture in a software specification Proficient in Agile Software Development Proficient in Python and familiar with Julia programming languages Experience in M&S Verification and Validation practices and methods BS (minimum) MS (desired) degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Math/Physics, or computer science and software engineering with a minimum 5 years of professional experience in Science and Technology, with desired emphasis modeling, simulation, and analysis. The candidate must have skill and experience in C programming and be able to write and verify code that simulates physical events. Other desired programming skills are Python and C#. Other desired skills include Jupyter notebooks and python based GUI development. The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, and Excel) in order to generate reports and briefings, and have good writing skills. The candidate must be able to analyze M&S output, code input, and analyze trends in code output to test code viability. Experience running codes and producing output for product deliveries is a plus. Interest in high performance computing or data science on large scale platforms is a plus. Experience with fast-running lethality codes is a plus. Experience with CAD modeling, such as BRLCAD, is a plus. Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
