As a Senior Administrative Specialist, responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Providing high-level administrative support to senior government leadership, ensuring seamless execution of mission-critical tasks.
- Managing talent and personnel readiness for military and civilian staff, including organizational charts, recall rosters, unit manning documents, and additional duty assignments.
- Overseeing inbound and outbound personnel actions, including sponsor assignments, in-processing, out-processing, and deployment coordination.
- Tracking and managing personnel performance reports, appraisals, training compliance, medical readiness, decorations, and award opportunities.
- Maintaining a repository of personnel documentation, including Records of Performance (ROPs), biographies, and employee 971 work folders.
- Reporting status updates for personnel actions, talent management, and key leadership events during staff meetings or as required.
- Collaborating with external offices to execute administrative support actions and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Managing personnel milestones, documentation, and reporting systems to support operational efficiency.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the success of the squadron and the Space Force Delta.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or industry work experience, with a focus on personnel management and administrative support.
- Extensive experience working with DoD or IC personnel systems, such as DCPDS, MyPay, MilPDS, and MS365 Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of Defense Department and/or Space Force organizational structure, policies, and culture.
- Proven ability to manage high-level taskers and utilize reporting systems effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Candidates with the following qualifications will stand out:
- Relevant experience in Space Force Combat Forces Command (CFC) or Space Systems Command (SSC).
- Familiarity with systems such as Teams, SharePoint, PROPS, and Task Management Tool (TMT).
- Project management experience, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing competing priorities.
- Knowledge of space operations, aerospace systems, or related industries.
- Advanced certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
- Experience in workforce development, including training programs, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Familiarity with Agile or Lean methodologies to enhance team collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster an inclusive work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Masters degree (desired).
- 10 years of related professional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Primary work location: Colorado Springs, CO.
- Remote work opportunity: Limited, with occasional flexibility.
- Travel requirements: Up to 20% within the continental United States.
