Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet food safety standards in production
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, including catering events if applicable
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Follow all food handling procedures and safety standards to ensure a safe dining environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Experience with dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proper slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
