Position Overview:
Modern Septic & Sewer is looking for a dependable and organized office assistant to join our growing team. This position plays an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly by assisting with scheduling, customer communication, data management and organization, and administrative support. We are looking for someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with various computer software.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry/tracking, and responding to emails
- Maintain office organization and cleanliness
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily tasks
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and management
- Assist with scheduling and other office support duties as needed
- Process invoices, payments, and paperwork
- Assist with permit applications and office documentation
- Coordinate with other contractors and municipalities
- Post on our social media accounts
- Assist with advertising tasks
Qualifications:
- Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, word processing, data entry, use of scheduling software, Google suite)
- Previous office or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- High-school diploma or higher
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time 3-5 days per week, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Potential for full-time for the right candidate
- Flexible scheduling may be available. Please inquire about specific needs.
