Modern Psychiatry is a fast-growing mental health practice offering integrative psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychological services both in-person and via telehealth, serving patients in New Jersey and across the United States. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team in Toms River, NJ. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic services to individuals across the lifespan in various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. The LCSW / LPC will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including behavioral therapy, to support clients dealing with various mental health challenges.
• Must have experience working with both children and adults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in research data collection to contribute to ongoing program evaluation and improvement efforts.
• Stay informed about best practices in the social work / counseling fields and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Experience

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.
