What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLASS B SHUTTLE DRIVER (Part-Time) position at MODERN PARKING INC?
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing excellent customer service while safely transporting customers from one area of the facility to another. *Must have a valid CA Class B driver license and clean driving record. Must be 23 or older.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport passengers to various locations throughout the facility in a shuttle
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with both customers and employees
- Provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner
- Welcome and acknowledge all customers according to company standards; anticipate and address customers’ needs and thank customers with a genuine appreciation
- Control traffic to ensure a smooth flow at all times, while ensuring pedestrians are safe
- Verify the necessary supplies at the start of each shift
- Monitor and maintain safety, security and cleanliness of parking areas
- Arrive in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts
- Must work with or without supervision
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
- May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Must have Class B license with passenger endorsements
- High school degree required
- Must be 23 or older (requirement for individuals transporting passengers)
- Have and maintain a valid California driver's license
- Must be able to provide a valid/acceptable driving record with no more than 2 points
- Willingness to undergo a background screening
- Must be able to bend and squat frequently
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs
Knowledge:
- Customer service- Must be able to communicate in English, provide courteous and friendly service and deal with unsatisfied customers
- Problem Solving- Ability to solve a problem when a Supervisor/Manager is not present
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written correspondence
- Transportation- Knowledge of the principles and methods of moving vehicles
