Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Project Management Intern to support our field operations and project leadership teams. This internship offers real-world experience in the lifecycle of industrial refrigeration projects and ice rink floor construction projects, from initial planning to final commissioning. This is not a "sit behind a desk all summer" internship—you will be an active part of the workflow, gaining exposure to both office-based coordination and hands-on site management.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in the daily execution of cooling system installations and startups.
- Maintain project schedules and track milestones to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
- Assist in project estimation by gathering historical data and resource requirements to help develop accurate project timelines and budget forecasts.
- Review project documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with field teams, technicians, and engineering staff to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities to document progress.
- Organize project records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible for the team.
- Assist with procurement and equipment tracking for industrial refrigeration components.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong interest in mechanical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, or the construction lifecycle.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Proficient technical computer skills (experience with project management software a plus).
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed to support field operations.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
