MCO BILLING COORDINATOR (PT)
Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY
Receives communication from MCOs, creates or updates files, organizes and prepares data to develop reports for MCO billing. Tracks, records, and prepares client data from all MOW sites—screens for participation and payment in homebound meal programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives communication from insurance companies regarding clients, calls clients as necessary, creates and updates client files, SERV Tracker, and spreadsheets per authorizations received
- Works with inter-department teams to maintain client schedules and updates
- Maintains confidentiality of all personal/health-related information observed
- Maintains files of all clients to ensure accuracy
- Organizes and prepares data to develop reports for MCOs
- Tracks, records, and prepares data for billing reviews and refiles denied billing
- Compiles, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of data to be entered
- Prepares reports as required by various federal, state, and local programs
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, degree in human services, business, or previous billing experience preferred, or a combination of experience and degree.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications
- Capability to learn new software as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time
