Freshly Printed: The Role You Have Been Looking For
As a Desktop Operator, you'll play a key role in preparing digital files for print production. You'll be responsible for ensuring all files meet print-ready standards. This includes checking for formatting errors, verifying content placement, and prepping materials for platemaking. In this role, you'll serve as the critical link between our customers' vision and the final printed product.
From Set up to Finish: Your Role in the Process
- Review and prepare customer-supplied digital files for print production
- Prepare digital files for direct mailing
- Identify and correct file issues such as missing fonts, low-resolution images, or layout errors
- Ensure proper file setup for imposition, color accuracy, and content placement
- Collaborate with customer service and press teams to clarify job specifications and resolve file-related issues
- Maintain organization of files throughout the production process
- Help ensure final print products meet customer expectations and internal quality standards
The Fine Print: What You Need to Succeed
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in prepress or graphic design required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data cleaning, pivot tables)
- Experience with data-driven print workflows and variable data printing tools
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and prepress software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Your Production Schedule:
- Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
