What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Cold Finish Set Up position at Modern Forge Tennessee LLC?
Morge Forge, Piney Flats, TN, is accepting applications for a Cold Finish Set Up. You will set up mechanical presses to perform a variety of operations of forgings. Additionally, you will ensure coin dies are set up properly, so parts meet QC standards. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. After 6 months of service, you are eligible for vacation pay. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. After 6 months of service, you are eligible for vacation pay.
Responsibilities
- Sets up presses by removing dies and adapters, inserting new dies and adapters, and adjusts stroke. Makes any necessary adjustments and approves product for manufacturing after completing inspections aligned with control plans to include the use of comparator and CMM along with simple fixtures and gauges
- Transports dies and product to and from work area and storage area using a hand truck or Forklift truck.
- Performs minor repairs on coin dies as necessary.
- Responsible for marking repair card and direction of repairs to be made to the coin tooling then for turning into the Cold Finish Foreman for entry into PLEX.
- Keeps work area in clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Follows all safety procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Relevant experience preferred.
