• Lead, supervise, develop and participate in a team of maintenance mechanics, ensuring high performance, accountability, and adherence to safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company safety policies
• Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities, including repairs to conveyors, balers, sort systems, compactors, and mobile equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and ensure timely resolution
• Take ownership of the preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life; preferably creating both short- and long-term schedules
• Partner with Operations to schedule maintenance work while minimizing disruption to production
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate ordering of parts, tools, and supplies
• Oversee contractor work and ensure quality and safety expectations are met
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and capital improvement planning for maintenance-related projects
• Complete other tasks assigned by leadership

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
• 5 yrs of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or recycling environment preferred
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of safety practices and OSHA standards
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems required
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics strongly preferred
• Experience with conveyors, screens, optical sorters, and balers strongly preferred
• Previous employment in industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and odors preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift at least fifty (50) pounds
• Availability to work weekends and respond to emergencies in off-hours
