Educator Support Manager

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, plus benefits 
 

Who We Are:

The Modern Classrooms Project (MCP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers educators to build classrooms that respond to every student’s needs.  Founded by two award winning teachers, we lead a movement of educators in implementing a self-paced, mastery-based instructional model that leverages technology to foster human connection, authentic learning, and social-emotional growth.

To date, we have reached over 70,000 teachers through our free online course and 20,000 teachers through our Virtual Mentorship Program from over 200 school, district, and state partners. We are an ambitious, idealistic team led by former classroom teachers, and we are passionate about what we do.

Job Description:  

The Educator Support Manager trains educators to use the Modern Classrooms Project instructional approach and mentors them through implementation. This role supports increased quality of teaching, leading to more students learning in responsive, personalized classrooms. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Educator Support Manager, Math reports directly to the Director of Educator Support and will work on training and supporting approximately 100 educators in an assigned portfolio using our curriculum solutions, which provide educators with HQIM-aligned resources that enable them to effectively implement the Modern Classrooms instructional model with their curriculum.

The support may include:

• Executing math training (on-site and virtually) for math educators 
• Regular outreach, in various forms, to educators
• Regular coaching calls 
• Coordinating and facilitating workshops, events, and other professional learning opportunities, both in-person and virtually
• Responding to educator inquiries 
• Conducting information sessions (in person or virtually)
• Visiting Modern Classrooms to observe practice, provide feedback, and steward relationships 
• Completing administrative tasks and special projects (as assigned) 

Must-Have Skills and Competencies:

• Experience training educators in professional learning 
   
• Experience supporting educators with concrete suggestions and specific, effective feedback about instruction
   
• Track record of strong communication skills across mediums including public speaking, presentations, writing, and in one-on-one interactions with educators
   
• Excellent relationship-building skills, including listening, problem-solving, and following through on commitments
   
• Exceptional organizational skills and record of managing a high volume of tasks, meeting deadlines, and fulfilling work obligations
   
• Goals-oriented with a high degree of initiative and independence
   
• Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to pivot seamlessly when presented with new data
   
• Adaptability to work in a start-up environment, including readiness for remote, independent work and flexibility to meet the needs of a growing organization
   
• Experience with productivity tools like Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace

Preferred Experiences:

• Based in a major airport hub city 
   
• Experience utilizing the Modern Classrooms Project instructional model as an educator or instructional leader
   
• Experience teaching or coaching math using Illustrative Mathematics or Eureka Math² in grades three through twelve.
   
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
