Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time, experienced, independent, and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our company's entire financial lifecycle. In this role, you will take full ownership of our daily accounting functions, from data entry, payroll, preparing invoices, reviewing and paying vendor bills/statements. The ideal candidate functions without daily supervision, possesses deep knowledge of GAAP principles, and acts as the bridge between our daily operations and our external CPA.
Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage all accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, post journal entries, and ensure accuracy across all accounts.
- Banking & Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
- Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll, track employee hours, manage benefits deductions, and handle quarterly payroll tax filings.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
- Tax & Compliance: Prepare documentation for sales tax reporting, 1099 processing, and assist external CPAs with annual corporate tax preparation.
- Front desk Management: Interacting with customers, answering phones, managing job documentation, and ordering job materials.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
- Software Mastery: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is strictly required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), taxes, and payroll compliance regulations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to work completely autonomously.
Part Time
- Typical start time: 9AM and typical end time: 2:30 PM.
- Alternatively, you can work 3 full days a week and have 4 day weekends.
- We can be flexible with the start and end timing.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
