What are the responsibilities and job description for the COMMERCIAL Construction Superintendent position at Modern Building Inc.?
General Job Description:
- Develop project master schedules and project six week look-ahead schedules working in conjuction with the PM/PE.
- Implement project start-up with project team to ensure all paperwork is in place prior to starting work.
- Review and become competent with current project documents.
- Actively engage with all project subcontractors & vendors, coordinate overall site effort to ensure schedule goals are met or exceeded.
- Superintendent's on-site presence is required whenever employees or subcontractors are working at the project site.
- Actively engage and provide direct/clear guidance & leadership to all Modern laborers, carpenters and cement masons who may be on the job.
- Actively engage with project owners, inspectors and design professionals to provide/ensure a site atmosphere of respect and understanding of team needs.
- Maintain a safe project site, including enforcement of Modern's Safety Program at all times.
- Learn & understand Modern's Timberline Project Management software or other job-specific software as applicable.
- Maintain consistent and accurate daily logs/reports of all work.
- Develop and write RFI's in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Review and verify work in place is consistent with approved submittals and design documents.
- Maintain a constant high level of quality control consistent with the expectations of the owner, design team and Modern.
- Assist the Project Manager with gathering pricing, processing change order requests, providing accurate project revenue and cost forecasting and development of monthly billing requests.
- Implement and maintain a jobsite specific safety program.
- Solicit and pursue opportunities to generate future work while providing an example of leadership from which others can learn and aspire towards.
- Oversee Commercial Construction Projects in Chico, Redding and throughout the NorthState.
- Must be willing to relocate to Northern California.
Must have prior Commercial Construction Experience.
