Ability to perform the following functions of Rail Operator. Receives, stores, and pulls material by performing the following duties. Expereinced on running a saw to cut Linear shafts and rails.
Essential Functions
Run a saw
When the order is received
Verify that we have stock to fill the order
Carriages may need to be modified
Pull all stock and stage it correctly
Cut the appropriate rail
Receive stock in and put it away
Daily machine maintenance
Keep up the carriage stock room
Keep carriages stocked
Keep track of stock
Support other team members – This may include but not limited to
Cutting non hardened stock as needed
Cutting round shafting
Shipping / Receiving
Pulling stock
Keep area and shop clean
Empty trash
Sweep
Keep clear of debris·
Operates a lift truck or fork truck in picking orders or in storing of merchandise.
· Assists in taking the annual inventory; may write up receiving or shipping reports; may file will-call tickets.
May pack orders, write labels, weigh cartons and prepare parcel post and UPS shipments forms
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· High School Graduate
· Must be fluent in reading a tape measure – Metric and English
· Understanding of Linear Shafting is a plus
