Sales Assistant

Summary :  Drive delivery truck to fulfill sales orders and assist Account Managers maintain and grow sales. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but no limited to:

• Drives truck to deliver such items as automotive products and supplies to
  auto dealerships and independent garages. 
• Records sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record. 
• Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. 
• Prepares order forms and sales contracts. 
• Informs regular customers of new products or services. 
• Places stock on shelves or racks. 
• Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales
  promotion materials to customers. 
• Issues or obtains customer signature and records purchase order numbers on
  receipt for pickup or delivery. 
• Communicates all completed
  sales invoices to the corporate office on a daily basis. 
• Performs daily inspections of delivery vehicle and ensures all maintenance and safety requirements are met.  

 Minimum Qualifications:  

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Report  
• 2 years’ experience driving large delivery truck 
• Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Certification  
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a great customer service demeanor  
• Good math skills
• Ability to sit for extended periods and regularly lift or move up to 30-50 lbs.
• Must be 21 years of age with a clean driving record.  
• Valid drivers license for a minimum of 3 years.
