Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Square POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to food safety and handling guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Engage with customers to promote sales and enhance their café experience through recommendations.
- Follow all food preparation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous barista or coffee shop experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating positive interactions with customers.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are required.
- Experience in the food industry or food service is a plus, particularly in fast-paced environments.
