This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service Mechanic located in Toledo, OH. The Service Mechanic will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on wheelchair-accessible vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and collaborating with the service team to ensure timely and accurate repairs. The role also involves engaging with customers to explain repairs and provide exceptional service.
- Mechanical skills, including vehicle diagnostics, system troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Electrical system repair and installation experience
- Familiarity with mobility equipment and vehicle upfits (preferred but not required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- ASE Certification or related automotive certifications (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
