About Us We are a dynamic, growing family-owned manufacturing company. We take pride in our craftsmanship and are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated technician to join our production team building mobile sawmills and the reliable power plants that run them.
The Role This is a dual-focus contractor role. You will split your time between assembling and servicing VW air-cooled engines and performing hands-on technical assembly and maintenance on our sawmill units.
Key Responsibilities
- Competently assemble complete VW air-cooled engines (1600cc) from bare cases to finished units, working with single-port heads, forged crankshafts, and carburetors.
- Assist in the mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mobile sawmill machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience building and rebuilding VW air-cooled engines.
- Strong general mechanical aptitude; experience with industrial equipment or sawmills is highly preferred.
- Must be strictly drug and alcohol-free.
- Must be highly reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of managing your own workflow.
Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor position.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
