Responsibilities
- Pick up slabs, sticks, sawdust, and chips off lower mill floors
- Assist with dust mitigation
- Maintain a safe environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Must complete and pass the Rolling Stock training classes and re-certify annually.
- Must complete Chainsaw safety class before using a chainsaw.
- Maintain training in safety and how to lock out machinery before getting under, around or in machinery will be required
- Follow lockout procedures and company policy.
- Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe
- Assist in other areas/jobs in the mill when needed/assigned.
- Completion of high-school or equivalent preferred but not required
- Sawmill experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to safely work at a moderate to fast pace
- Lifting is 20-30 pounds on a continuous basis
- Sawmill experience preferred but not required
- Must be willing to learn new skills
- Be a team player and self-starter
