Chief Financial Officer
Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | Private Equity-Backed Growth Opportunity
Mobile Box is seeking a strategic, operationally minded Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team and help lead the company through its next stage of growth, scale, and value creation.
This is a true CFO role for a finance leader who wants to build, improve, and professionalize the finance function while partnering closely with the CEO, PE, board, lenders, and operating leaders. The right candidate will bring strong financial discipline, executive presence, cash/liquidity leadership, operational finance capability, and a builder mindset.
What You’ll Own
- Financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and long-term planning
- 13-week cash forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital discipline
- Lender communication, borrowing base reporting, ABL requirements, and covenant compliance
- Board and sponsor-facing financial reporting
- KPI/dashboard development and improved operational visibility
- Finance team structure, talent evaluation, process improvement, and scalable infrastructure
- ERP evaluation/implementation and broader finance transformation efforts
- Operational partnership around pricing, fleet investment, utilization, margin, and branch performance
- M&A diligence, integration support, and future exit-readiness efforts as the company scales
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a sitting CFO or high-upside VP Finance/PE Controller ready to step into a CFO seat. This person should be hands-on, strategic, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, private equity-backed environment.
Required Experience
- Senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, PE Controller, or similar role
- Strong cash forecasting, working capital, financial planning, and executive reporting experience
- Experience managing lender relationships, borrowing base reporting, debt, covenants, or ABL structures
- Ability to partner closely with operations, sales, field leadership, executive leadership, and board/sponsor stakeholders
- Strong financial modeling, KPI reporting, dashboarding, and business performance analysis skills
- Experience leading or scaling finance/accounting teams
Strongly Preferred
- Private equity-backed or sponsor-owned company experience
- ERP implementation, ERP evaluation, or finance transformation experience
- Multi-location, asset-based, equipment rental, storage, logistics, field service, construction, industrial services, or similar operating environment experience
- M&A diligence or integration experience
- CPA, MBA, or advanced finance/accounting degree
Location
Phoenix, AZ is strongly preferred due to the level of executive partnership and operational visibility required. Miami may be considered only on an exception basis for an exceptional candidate.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, plus annual performance-based incentive and participation in a meaningful long-term equity program.
