Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable working with point-of-sale (POS) systems. This role involves assisting customers with their purchases, managing transactions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring proper merchandising standards
• Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement
• Upsell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers
• Stock shelves and assist in inventory management to ensure product availability
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide accurate change
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos is a plus

• Strong basic math skills are required for accurate transaction processing

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
