Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, and fixture setup according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and verify system integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Learn to identify different types of wiring, connectors, and electrical components used in various projects.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and NEC standards is highly desirable.
- Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints accurately.
