Saw Operator

Job Summary

• Operate and maintain saws for cutting raw material to spec. Vertical Band saws and Horizontal Automatic saws
• Perform daily and weekly facility upkeep (sweeping, organizing, oiling machines, etc.)
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and shop organization
• Load/unload material and help prep jobs for machinists
• Read and interpret basic blueprints (we can train the right person)
• Run errands or support other tasks as needed to keep production moving smoothly

Qualifications:

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Able to lift 35-50 lbs and stay active throughout the day
• Familiar with basic tools and mechanical tasks
• Any experience in manual machining, blueprint reading, or saw operations is a plus
• Willing to learn and grow with a team

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

• Manual lathe or mill experience
• Forklift certification
• Basic mechanical repair knowledge
• Prior experience in a shop or industrial setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
