Position Summary
Performs thread rolling on various materials with different diameters
Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Set up and operate various thread roll machines
- Check parts to SPC requirements
- Operate holding five dimensions: major, minor, pitch, radius and run-out length
- Visually check parts for laps, and acid etch parts
- Ensure dies match
- Must be experienced using different materials
- Must be able to trouble shoot if a machine goes out of tolerance
- Must be able to use a SPC computer and comparator
Qualifications-Education/Experience
REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or four years related experience and/or training; Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a Thread roll Technician in a manufacturing plant environment, preferably in the aerospace industry
