A prominent Am Law 100 intellectual property practice is seeking a Patent Agent to join its Electrical Engineering and Software Patent Team. This team works with sophisticated clients across telecommunications, semiconductors and software industries on complex patent preparation, prosecution, and portfolio developmenThis role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless communication technologies, including inventions related to 5G, 6G, and evolving telecommunications standards. Role & Responsibilities
Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
Draft claims and respond to USPTO Office Actions
Conduct Examiner interviews
Work directly with inventors and attorneys
Assist with patent portfolio strategy and management
Technical Focus
Experience in one or more of the following:
5G, Wi-Fi, and wireless communications
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning
Processor and memory systems
Image processing and computer vision
RF front-end technologies
Preferred (not required): autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, advanced wireless systems.

Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
2 years of patent prosecution experience
Registered with the USPTO (or eligible to register)

Anticipated Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive base salary: $140,000 – $215,000, depending on experience and location.
