Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of equipment and machinery within a wholesale trade environment. This position is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or wholesale trade setting.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work safely in confined spaces and follow established safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic systems, valves, pumps, and mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience with cleaning validation processes in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of plant maintenance best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and technical manuals.
• Work safely in confined spaces and adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the cleaning validation team to ensure equipment cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance to support continuous improvement efforts.
