Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for all functions of the HR department for this Cultivation Facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts employee onboarding and supports new hire training initiatives. Will assist in interviews for potential employees and advises on decision-making processes.
- Adhere to all TERO policies.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager or appropriate supervisor/manager.
- May participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Collaborates with Managers and Owners to implement and execute employee engagement initiatives, including employee events, employee newsletter, and all-employee meetings.
- Maintains all personnel files.
- Coordinate weekly and Bi-weekly payroll processing, assist with payroll issues and discrepancies, validate weekly time clocks.
- Verify yearly W2 forms as completed and provided by payroll vendor.
- Makes sure company is compliant with all State and Federal Safety laws.
- Completes various audits and other duties/special projects as needed.
- Other general administrative duties may be requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 3 years of human resource experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information;
- Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations;
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:
- HR generalist at a cultivation facility potential exposure to allergens; including pollen and plant material
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing over long periods of time.
- Regular walking, standing, and occasional bending or kneeling while in operational areas.
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds intermittingly.
Salary Range:
This position will have a starting salary of $45,000-$60,000 yearly dependent on experience.
