About the Role: The ERP & Inventory Operations Administrator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system while also managing receiving and inventory control functions that support daily manufacturing and operational activities. This role serves as the system owner for the ERP platform and plays a critical hands-on role in ensuring materials, data, and processes are accurate, traceable, and aligned with business needs.
This position is instrumental in leading the implementation of the company’s first ERP system within a manufacturing environment. The individual will partner closely with the ERP implementation team, providing strong leadership, direction, and accountability to ensure a successful rollout. This includes driving timelines, coordinating cross-functional input, and ensuring alignment between system design and manufacturing and operational processes.
Working closely with operations, finance, purchasing, inventory, quality, and management, this position bridges system management with physical inventory control to ensure seamless flow of information and materials throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is both analytically minded and operationally hands-on, comfortable working in office and manufacturing environments, and committed to continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Demonstrated hands-on experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment, including implementation, configuration, data management, and user support.
· Experience with receiving inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments.
· Demonstrated understanding of job travelers and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking within a manufacturing or production environment.
· Strong understanding of business processes such as finance, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, and operations.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
· Experience developing training materials and conducting user training.
· Ability to safely lift and move materials as required (up to approximately 75 lbs).
Essential Job Functions
Lead and support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the company’s ERP system, including planning, configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live activities.
· Serve as the primary point of contact and system owner for ERP-related issues, troubleshooting errors and coordinating with vendors or consultants as needed.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into ERP configurations, workflows, permissions, and reports.
· Manage and maintain ERP master data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with physical inventory.
· Develop, maintain, and document ERP procedures, work instructions, and user guides.
· Train end users and provide ongoing system support to ensure effective adoption and consistent use.
· Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists.
· Inspect materials and products for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns and coordinate resolution as needed.
· Accurately record received goods in the ERP/inventory system and maintain proper documentation and traceability.
· Store materials in designated locations according to inventory and safety procedures.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory reconciliations.
· Coordinate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to address discrepancies, shortages, or process gaps.
· Support integration between the ERP system and other business systems as applicable.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage area in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
· Monitor system and process performance and recommend improvements, enhancements, or efficiencies.
· Ensure ERP usage and inventory practices align with internal controls, compliance requirements, and best practices.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational and inventory workflows.
Physical Environment & Work Conditions

· The regular schedule typically follows an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with general availability expected between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern. Occasional flexibility may be required.
· Office-based work includes extended periods of sitting, computer use, and detailed data review.
· Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments and may require walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs or ladders, and reaching.
· The role may require lifting, carrying, or moving materials and equipment (typically up to 75 lbs.).
