Injection Molding Shift Supervisor

MMI Engineered Solutions is looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced individual for the Shift Supervisor position. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading production team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations during their shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees.

• Enforce safety, quality, and sanitation standards across the manufacturing floor.

• Plan and assign work schedules to meet production goals and customer deadlines.

• Review production schedules, reports, and shift performance data to monitor efficiency and output.

• Support and coordinate mold setups and changeovers to minimize downtime.

• Train, coach, and evaluate employees to ensure consistent performance and adherence to company standards.

• Communicate effectively with other departments and shifts to maintain smooth operations.

• Identify and address quality or production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions when needed.

• Maintain accurate shift documentation, including production reports, timecards, and attendance.

• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred.

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an injection molding or manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and equipment.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with IQMS a plus.

• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet production requirements.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Manufacturing environment that may be hot, noisy, or dirty.

• Frequent walking and standing on the production floor.

• Hands-on supervision supporting setup and production teams.

Schedule: Monday through Wednesday 6 hour shifts, alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 12 hour shifts. Guaranteed 2 days off per week!
